Victoria guest hosts CoMo Ecstatic Dance: Moving with a Bold Heart

  • Yoga Sol 210 St James Street Columbia, MO (map)

In early July, the Columbia Ecstatic Dance Collective will once again be joining together at Yoga Sol to give ourselves to the music and to move freely however the rhythm and moment inspires. We hope you will join us for this enlivening, empowering community movement event.

Victoria Day of Embodiment LLC will be guest facilitator. Calling in inspiration from her experience with and passion for community ritual and movement, she will offer an embodied warm-up and playlist inspired by the intention Moving with a Bold Heart.

General suggested donation is $7-10, $5 for students, and free for kids. If you need an alternative way to contribute, please contact Victoria and she will connect you with the right person!

Victoria shares about the intention:

The intention of Moving with a Bold Heart was inspired by a random scrap of paper with those words on it. For a reason I cannot explain I felt compelled to explore the dynamic qualities of this concept: a bold heart.

As is part of my normal process, this intention has evolved from earlier work, spiritually and professionally, that I have been exploring and offering. In early Spring 2019 I was called to explore the intention of Moving with Fluidity , inviting myself and participants on a journey of moving with the lymphatic, synovial and circulatory systems as well as with the attitude or quality of Flow.

This “let it flow” work morphed into Moving with Flow and Form , exploring how Stability supports Mobility, and likewise, how we need Mobility in order to have Stability. It is all of this, and more, that now flows into my bold heart.

In offering movement inspired by this intention, I am inviting participants to explore the dynamic space that balances courage, empowerment and boldness with tenderness, compassion, and gentleness in our bodies, our movement and our lives.

Moving a Bold Heart.
