With the Fire: Movement Exploration and Play

I am seeking open, curious, playful individuals to join me on Sunday afternoon at a location in Columbia yet to be determined to play with moving with and honoring the Fire.

What do you have that needs to be burned away? What do you have that needs to be warmed and allowed to catch Fire?

Let's create a joyful, harmonious, raucous, open-hearted choir of movement together. No experience necessary. All types of movers are welcome. Several of my dear friends have agreed to join us to support our movement with music and sound.

We will explore moving with Fire in several ways and then, together, we will create a movement choir, a mandala of intentional spirit-filled movement entitled With the Fire.

For more information about movement choirs, please visit http://www.embodimentllc.com/mandala-community-movement-project

Or check out this great article from March 2020 when we gathered to welcome Spring

I am truly excited and hope you are too.

If you are interested in being a part of this experience, please let me know by 10 a.m. on Sunday (by responding to this email or texting me at 573-575-MOVE). I will email final details on Sunday morning to those who make contact with me.

With the Breath: Movement Exploration and Play

I am SO ready to play.

I am so ready to create satisfying, safe, creative movement experiences with you.

I am so ready to breathe easily and freely, after what feels like a serious physical, mental, emotional and spiritual slog for me (and for so many who share with me.)
ds

I have missed moving in nature, with intention and spiritual intention, with other human Beings. I remember fondly those who joined with me in March 2020 to welcome Spring...and I look forward to connecting again in movement in many ways over the next few months. Starting tomorrow!

I am seeking open, curious, playful individuals to join me on Sunday afternoon near downtown Columbia at 1:30 p.m. to play with moving with Breath, honoring the Breath. Let's all just let go of what doesn't serve us and open to the flow of nourishment!

Mandala Community Movement Project: Celebrating the Harvest

  • Waterfall west of Reichman Pavilion (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

calm me into a quietness that heals

and listens,
give me strength to tear away all bindings,

to loosen the standards and rules and mores that impose upon me this form of

uprightness.

inspire me to safely release the ideas of holding it together

allow me to laugh with a soft belly,

to drop to the solid ground with joy,

to stretch and reach with every cell
to the Sun, to the sky, to the blessed trees, to you, my friend.
May we dance.

- Aletheia Sayer

Be a part of the Mandala Community Movement Project.

Victoria invites you to join her on this glorious late summer evening to individually and collectively take time to Pause, to Listen, to Allow, to Move and BE Moved.

Our common intention for this gathering is to celebrate the Harvest. We will be moving with the energies of what we have sown in this season and what we are now harvesting for the benefit of our Selves and our communities.

To prepare, consider: What have you sown that you are harvesting in your life right now? What are you harvesting now that will nourish you when times turn cold and icy?

This is an event of Community-created Experience, of Art in Motion.

It is a ritual.

“All acts of love and pleasure are my ritual.”

What you can expect?

In the first 60 - 90 minutes we will join together to find our ease, and then to create ritual movement and music honoring the Harvest. If people want, we will then have time to play together free-form until sunset.

All movers all welcome - seated, standing, on-the-ground, in deep stillness, in wild abandon!

Drummers, musicians, and chanters who desire to create music together in support of dancers moving with this specific intention ALSO WELCOME!

Donations will be accepted in support of the ongoing offering of this type of event.

More details forthcoming as the events draws nearer.

The location of this event is directly west of the Stephens Park Reichmann Pavilion on E Walnut. We will meet near the western most waterfall. You can reach us by parking at Reichman and walking west on the perimeter trail. You could also park on Brenda Lane, take the sidewalk and then turn right onto the perimeter trail or park on Anita Lane and bushwack over the grass directly toward the lake.
